    Description: Evonine shows insecticidal activity against Mythimna separata, the LC50 value of 23.23 mg /mL.
    In vitro:

    Sesquiterpene pyridine alkaloids from Euonymus japonicus and their insecticidal activity[Reference: WebLink]
    Four β-dihydroagarofuran sesquiterpene pyridine alkaloids were isolated from ethyl acetate extracts of the root bark of Euonymus japonicus by column chromatography and HPLC preparation with Bioaasy-guided fractionation.
    METHODS AND RESULTS:
    Their chemical structures were elucidated as Evonine(A),1-deacetyl-1-benzoylEvonine(B),ebenifoline E-IV(C) and mayteine(D) by mp,1H and 13C NMR.Their LC50 values against Mythimna separata were 23.23,5.44,5.25 and 4.66 mg·mL-1,respectively.
